This is a post about the Bengali movie Sonar Kella which was originally released in 1973. It is one of the iconic films made by India’s leading filmmaker, Satyajit Ray. The film has been the most successful film in Bengali cinema and it has won many awards. The introduction to this informative and factual blog post will attract a broader audience because I used words such as "movie," "filmmaker," "India," and "leading." Focusing on popular subjects within my post will help me get more views than if I were to write on an obscure subject such as graph theory or LGBTQ rights. Many students in class will be more likely to click the link on the screen and read it. I will be more likely to get views if I write a post on a subject they would find interesting. By writing about Sonar Kella, a well-known subject, I have a greater chance of being discovered online. By writing on a topic that is very popular with university professors, my blog will have better results. Many people have liked my blog entry and they have given me many views because they knew it would interest people. When I posted about Mark Zuckerberg's wedding, over 12.000 people had read my post by April 27th 2011. When I posted about Sonar Kella, I made sure to focus on the type of words that would get people to read. This helped me reach over 15.000 people by April 27th 2011. The success I have received from my blog post was quite surprising because when I first started out, blogs were very unpopular and only about five percent of the population said they had one. If you are interested in knowing more statistics on British society, in 2002 only 15% of the population in London had a blog. As expected in 2006, it rose to 19%. Now however in 2011 it has reached 55%. This proves that blogging is becoming a popular form of communication amongst young people especially. For anyone interested in writing a blog, it is important to find a subject that will interest many people. With Sonar Kella, I have reached an audience that is very interested in the film. So when I write my blog entry, I do not have to try to try to grab their attention by focusing on words that are not popular in India, or topics that are obscure. Outreach tools will allow me to spread the word about my entry which will help me reach people without me even trying. So instead of writing about drug trafficking in Mexico or the role of women in politics, if I write about how Bengali culture affects Bengali society today then many people will find it interesting . If I provide an example of how Bengali society has impacted my life, then they will be more likely to read it. If my article is well written, people might find it on social media sites such as myspace or they might just stumble upon my page one day. Writing on a popular topic is one way to draw attention to your work online. Writing on a subject that is well known will also allow me to reach an audience that is interested in the subject so they are more likely to read what I have written. 86cfa1e7782037
